Dear friends and colleagues,
we would like to invite you to the 8th Winter Augmented Reality Meeting (WARM2013) to be held on February 13-14, 2013 in Graz, Austria. WARM is a workshop plus optional skiing event (February 15-17, 2013). It was founded in 2005 and has since grown in numbers of attendees each year.
The event is organized in the style of an academic conference, yet we emphasize the informal character of WARM. There will be no proceedings or referable publications. Instead we invite you to present new ideas, preliminary results or discuss late breaking ideas in order to receive early feedback and use the audience for discussions and critique, which improves your chances for an official publication. WARM has a proven record of research presentations that converged into great papers at major conferences.
Deadline for registering a presentation (title and abstract of talk) is 31st December 2012. If you want to join us without a presentation and not attending the skiing trip please register no later than 30 January 2013.
Please don't forget to indicate if you want to join the skiing trip as reservations are limited. You will need to book the room in your own name as we can not vouch for cancellations.
We welcome presentations on all topics related to AR and Ubicomp including
but not limited to:
- Tracking including sensor fusion and computer vision
- Mobile augmented reality
- Ubiquitous augmented reality
- Smart environments
- User interface techniques and interaction methods
- User studies
- Future directions for AR research
- Teaching with and about AR
WARM2013 is organized by Hartmut Seichter and Tobias Langlotz. Please register and propose your presentation by emailing us at email@example.com until
December 31stJanuary 15th. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions or suggestions. Please provide a title and abstract of your talk. And we need to know if you plan to join the skiing event as space is limited.
